Why modern technology is used ?

     Many couples cannot have a children due to various reasons

In womens problems like Irregularity in menstrual cycle, difficulties in ooctye production, obstacles in oviduct, difficulties in implantation in uterus, and various other problems. 

While in mens problems like Absence of sperms in semen, slow movement of sperms, anamalies in the sperms , and many other reasons

But now with the help of modern reproductive technologies which help the childless couples can have a child are as follows:

• In Vitro Fertilization ( IVF).
• Surrogacy.
• Sperm Bank / Semen Bank.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

In this technique, fertilization is brought about in the test tube and the embryo formed is implanted in uterus of woman at appropriate time.

It is completed in basic 3 steps.

• Egg aspiration

The FSH injection is given to the women, further using the suction pump in a needle the egg is removed form the ovary of the women. Thus the egg aspiration is completed.

• Fertilization

The gametes collected are brought into the petri dish, and thus the eggs are fertilized by the sperms. This process only is known as In vitro fertilization (In lab)

Formation of the embryo also takes place outside the female body.

• Embryo Transfer

Using the Catather the embryo is transfered into the uterus. 3 to 4 Embryo are impanted in it

becuase the chance of implantation is very less in this process. 

Surrogacy.

Womens having problem like implantation of enbryo in uterus, such a women can take the help of modern reproductive technology called surrogacy.

In this technique the oocyte is collected form the women and sperm from the husband and fertilized through the test tube.

The embryo formed is impalnted in the uterus of other woman having normal uterus.

Such a women is known as Surrogate Mother.

Sperm Bank / Semen Bank.

There are various problem like sperm production in males. So to have a child such a couples uses the method called sperm or semen bank. This method is similar as that of the blood bank. Such like blood donation semen is also donated and stored by the desire man after their complete physical and medical check up. Name of the semen donor is kept secret as per law.
